Brush Maintenance

  1. Clean brushes with warm, soapy water.
  2. The brushes must be clean and dry before use.

Quick Start Video

How it Works

The cleaning brushes are located on Track 2 of the cleaning disc. The instructions say to play Track 1, then select Track 3. This is because switching from Track 1 to Track 3 forces the pick-up head in the player to pass over Track 2, therefore exposing the lens to the cleaning brushes.

Track 2 should not be selected on its own, because extended exposure to the brushes can cause damage to the head, as well as decreasing the lifespan of the CD-340.

FAQs

1. The CD-340 is not working on my device, is it defective?

To troubleshoot if the problem is with your Maxell cleaner, or your device, try to play another CD in your device. If it will not play at all, the lens may be broken. It is important to note that the effectiveness of any lens cleaner can vary, depending on the severity of the dirt buildup and the condition of the optical drive itself. In some cases, a cleaning disk may not be sufficient to resolve certain issues, and deeper mechanical problems could be the culprit.

2. Why is the cleaner not compatible with my Blu-ray player, gaming systems, BOSE devise, car player, or laptop?

The location of the lens is different in these devices than in average CD players, meaning that the brush cannot clean properly.
