National Accounts/Business Development Sales Manager, OEM Battery – REMOTE Micro Batteries (Primary and Rechargeable Batteries)

Maxell Corporation of America is seeking a National Accounts/Business Development Sales Manager with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the OEM Battery Market, especially related to Automotive, AMR/AMI Metering and Industrial applications for Micro Batteries (Primary and Rechargeable Batteries). Responsibilities will include prospecting to identify and close future business opportunities as well as play an important role in managing customer relationships and growth with existing strategic accounts. The successful candidate will be measured on increased sales revenue and profitability as well as new account development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

− Meet or Exceed Sales Revenue and Profitability Goals

− Initiate and Secure new business for the OEM Battery Group to achieve Year over Year Sales Growth

− Develop Strong Relationships with strategic accounts and new business opportunities

− Manage and Coordinate project development w/Customers to ensure effective communication, team coordination and on-time project launch

− Promote new products and technology to develop new business & secure launch partner award on Next Gen programs for existing accounts to ensure sales growth

− Manage and support existing account activity with forecast, quotations, orders

− Monitor and identify market trends, competitors, and new sales leads


− Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field

− Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in regional or national OEM battery sales required (primary battery experience preferred)

− Demonstrated history of sales performance; Meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts

− Comprehensive understanding of Industrial OEM product qualification process

− Understanding of OEM Industrial Batteries, Technologies, and Specifications

− Excellent interpersonal and client-relations skills

− Strong Negotiation skills and knowledge of B2B RFQ process

− Strong presentation skills

− Proficiency with Microsoft Office

− Travel Required
