Technical Sales Specialist, OEM Battery

Micro Batteries (Primary and Rechargeable Batteries)

Maxell Corporation of America is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the OEM Battery Market, especially related to Automotive, Utility Metering and Industrial Applications for Micro Batteries (Primary and Rechargeable Batteries). The Responsibilities will include developing and managing technical programs with strategic accounts for growth with key customers as well as identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will also be measured on increased YoY sales revenue and achieving results with new account development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

− Skilled in New Project Development Tasks; able to manage schedules and achieve launch requirements.

− Understanding of OEM product qualification process and ability to Manage all details from Concept to Completion.

− Meet or Exceed Sales Revenue.

− Ability to Promote new products and technology to develop new business.

− Ability to Develop Strong Relationships with strategic accounts and new business opportunities.

− Initiate and Secure new business for the OEM Battery Group to achieve Year over Year Sales Growth

− Manage and support existing account activity with forecasts, quotations, orders.

− Ensure effective communication, team coordination and on-time project launch.

− Monitor and identify market trends, competitors, and new sales leads; attend trade shows.

Qualifications:

− Bachelor’s degree or related experience in business or technical field

− Minimum 5 years’ experience as Technical Sales Specialist or equivalent.

− OEM Battery Sales required (primary battery experience preferred.)

− Proven history of Meeting/exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quota.

− Comprehensive understanding of Industrial OEM product qualification process.

− Excellent interpersonal and client-relations skills required.

− Strong presentation skills.

− Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Adobe Pro.

− Travel Required.
